So we have some more shows that have just been added, we are going to get behind and support Qpunx. This is a brand new independent zine that is being published real soon .  We are playing the fundraiser which is an afternoon and night affair starting at 2pm till late on the 27th of February at the Jubilee Hotel, so please come down early to catch us as we will be playing in the first half on the bill as we love to get nice and sweaty during the day!  Plus we have also been asked to play at the launch of the zine on the 12th of March also at the Jubilee Hotel.  More details to be added soon…

So it’s Friday the 13th and I thought, what great timing for an update on what’s been happening in our world in the last few months. Well at the moment we are in recording mode for the new album and everything is going really awesome. Some new additions of gear bought recently has been Gotty bought another mesa boogie dual rec but a ninties one and it sounds fucking great. Also Apes bought a power house of a bass set up and now boasts a 220 watt, all value, uk made Trace Elliot V4 Head which I am yet to hear but Apes reckons its sweet.

Also we have a gig booked in the new year which has been a long time coming and we are looking really forward to this one. Details for this gig are on our myspace or just below… Come and check this show out as we will be playing most of the songs off the new album and also some old favourites! Anyway another update soon so keep checking back.

So you may have noticed we haven’t played a show in a while and we thought
we should explain.  Basically the new songs for our next album we
want to stay ‘new’, so we don’t really want to play those. Our old songs,
well, you have all heard them enough plus with us as a four piece again
our music, songwriting and sound is a bit different from our last release. We will be
happy to start playing gigs once it gets closer to the release of the new
album.

Again we can’t say when the newbie will be out but we will let you know asap so check back again shortly for more updates!

Well, it has been 4 years since we have released a studio album and no, we are not dead if that’s what you’re thinking. Fear not we are still jamming, writing songs and getting drunk. A lot has changed since the days of our previous cd. We welcomed AP to the band, Scott moved to the Gold Coast and some other misc things happened like having to move houses and also sometimes we just get lazy.

Anyway back to business, So far we have 15 new songs (some over 5 minutes long!) so once we have a few more then it will be time to demo all the songs, listen to them and basically cut the one’s that are shit.

There are no dates set for anything in relation to the new cd. These things take time and usually there are unexpected bumps in the road. Also we also don’t want to give out any timeframes cause then it could build up to a climax then you could ejaculate too early.

The new album will pack about 11 songs and will be available physically and digitally (itunes etc) sometime in the not to distant future.

After 13 years Propagandhi are back in Australia touring and the good people at “Blue Murder” have asked us to play the Brisbane gig of this tour. Forefold will be playing with them at the Arena on their first night Friday the 13th of Feb so make sure you get down early to hear some facemelters…

Plus we are also playing ‘Spoonfest’ @ the Jubilee hotel the night after with a bunch of bands – its always fun at the Jube’s so get amongst it…Flyer below with all details.

So next week we will be gracing the stages with Lagwagon at The Arena, Saturday the 15th.  So please come down early and show some support – we will also be showcasing some new material that no-one has heard before so it will be exciting for us to finally let you all have a listen to what we have been working on for quite some time now…of the people that came to the Sperm Whale gig you would of realised this was actually Forefold playing under an alias to see how this new stuff was going to go down.  The response was very positive so we are now confident to play this stuff under the Forefold banner!
